Jacopo Pausa is a young Italian guitarist and songwriter whose music is inspired by Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits. At only 21 years old, Jacopo has already started building his own musical path with original songs and a debut album called “The Truth.”
His connection with the guitar started early. Jacopo picked up the instrument when he was only seven years old. Since then, music has become an important part of his life.

“I started playing guitar when I was 7, deeply inspired by the music of Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits,” Jacopo explained.
Jacopo Pausa and His Debut Album “The Truth”
In 2020, Jacopo released his first self-produced album, “The Truth.” The album focuses on real-life experiences and personal thoughts. It includes ten original songs:

The Story Behind “That’s Not Easy”
For the song “That’s Not Easy,” Jacopo shared the inspiration behind the lyrics. The track reflects his thoughts about modern music and the messages that artists send to younger generations.
He explained:
“I wrote this song after I listened to a couple of mainstream songs on the radio. The artists were talking about how cool they were and how they lived their reckless life. I thought – do they know their audience is mostly made by kids? Do they know they have responsibility for what they are talking about?”
Jacopo continued by explaining that creating meaningful music today can be challenging.
“It’s hard nowadays to emerge without talking about drugs, cars, richness and stuff like that. It’s hard to let people, especially children, aware of what they are listening to. I mean, that’s not easy but, I swear, I’ll try…”
With his passion for guitar, songwriting, and honest storytelling, Jacopo Pausa continues developing his own musical identity. Inspired by legendary artists like Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits, he represents a new generation of musicians who value melody, emotion, and authentic songwriting.
