Francois Lepage and his son Augustin Lepage this month gave us amazing video covers which we all had a chance to listen to them here on Dire Straits Blog.

Namely, they made covers from a song by Tom Petty “Don’t Pull Me Over,” and a song “News” by Dire Straits. If you want to listen to any of those covers, click on the name of the song.

During these days when we are all in quarantine, Francois didn’t leave his guitar. Today, he shared a new video on his YouTube channel. He performed the song “Brothers in Arms” on his electric Gibson guitar CS G0 at his living room in France.

“This is a personal interpretation of the great song by Dire Straits. Recorded on a Gibson CS G0, no reverb on Amp, just a light distortion, guitar tone on zero. I clearly believe it’s harder to play than the majority of the great Mark Knopfler’s solos because of this solo use only very few notes. Some specialists are really able to do the right thing. I only did what I can. I hope that everything is going well for you all,” he wrote.

Listen to his solo version of “Brothers in Arms” below, and check out his previous covers – here.
