Back in May 2021 in social media was news that John Illsley started working on his new music material at the British Grove Studios. At that time, in Studio 2 were also Mark Knopfler and Guy Fletcher working on something new. This has been confirmed by Guy Fletcher, on his official website, where he actually has a Q&A with his fans.

He wrote: “Yes, John was in mixing last week. I wasn’t involved as I’ve been in Studio 2 with Mark the whole time. We did of course have (socially distanced) lunches together all week which was lovely.” This was stated on Fletcher’s website in the category with the name ‘General discussion’ on May 17th, 2021.
