Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival 2023 is set to take place on September 23-24 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA. This event it could be the most epic guitar event of the decade. Featuring an incredible lineup of guitar talent, this event promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for music lovers.
The festival will showcase an eclectic mix of guitar legends from various genres, including ZZ Top, John Mayer, Santana, Buddy Guy, and Joe Bonamassa. However, this just scratches the surface of the impressive lineup.
The festival will also feature rock greats such as John McLaughlin, Robbie Robertson, Albert Lee, Roger McGuinn, and Stephen Stills. Blues and blues rock fans can look forward to performances by Gary Clark Jr, Taj Mahal, Keb’ Mo’, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Samantha Fish, Jimmy Vaughan, and Eric Gales. Country blues fans will enjoy sets by Sonny Landreth, Marcus King, and Clapton collaborator Doyle Bramhall II.
Moving towards the folk/roots end of the spectrum, the festival will feature performances by Ariel Posen, Bros. Landreth, bluegrass legend Del McCoury, dobro maestro Jerry Douglas, and next-generation torchbearers like Sierra Hull and Molly Tuttle. There’s, even more, to look forward to with the likes of H.E.R., The War On Drugs, Sheryl Crow, Los Lobos, ‘sacred steel’ player Robert Randolph, jazz guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel, and more.
The festival will also feature the Guitar Center Festival Village, which will have booths from leading guitar companies, offering the chance to try new gear, as well as an exhibit featuring the retailer’s Legends collection of historic six-strings, including Clapton’s famous Blackie Strat.
Overall, this is a crazy lineup of talent, and it’s hard to recall an event that has brought together more accomplished guitarists than this one. The festival is also for a good cause, with a portion of the proceeds going towards supporting the Clapton-backed Crossroads Centre in Antigua, which supports chemically- and alcohol-dependent persons and their families through treatment and education.
Tickets for individual day passes will go on sale this Friday (April 21) at 10 am PT. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to witness the greatest guitar event of the decade.
