Italian guitarist and singer Giulio Cattarini is back again with a new Dire Straits cover. This time he made his own version of the song “Ticket to Heaven”.
He recorded with an Eko EVO D Acoustic guitar and an Audio Technica AT2020 condenser mic through an Audient ID4 audio interface. The cover was filmed with a Sony Nex 3 mirrorless camera and mixed with GarageBand.
Our team was in contact with Giulio and he shared few interesting things for our blog and readers. “I’m preparing a new cover for the song ‘Boom Like That’. Soon I will share it with our fans,” he said.
Giulio is still in Trieste, Italy and he is fine. “Yes, I’m still in Trieste. Luckily in my region, the Covid situation is a little better than before and we hope it continues like this.”
Otherwise, Giulio’s biggest inspiration is the music of Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits. In his spare time, he shared that working on some new covers as well as thinking to record his own album.
“Yes, in my spare time I’m upgrading my guitars and playing some of my favorites songs and music. Lately, I’ve been thinking about recording an album. My main and biggest inspiration is always Mark Knopfler,” he added.

“Another song that I would like to make a cover video is the song ‘Iron Hand’. I like that song very much so soon I will make a cover version for all fans. Also, I’m looking for the backing track of ‘One Song at a Time’ because it’s another song I want to cover it,” he finished.
