Thanks for this opportunity, this means lot for me and for the band. We are tribute band from Netherlands, founded in 2014. At the beginning all it was just for fun and we been just 4 members (same as the old Dire Straits), but after a while the band starts to expand and we started to make this more and more seriously to the moment when the band started count 8 members (all professional musicians) and five-man crew. We trying to make a mix of Dire Straits music and Knopfler solo covers but always with respect for the original. Nothing can beat the original.

When I was 11 years old I start to play the guitar. I was visiting a rehearsal from my friend’s school band and they played “Sultans of Swing” and I was really impressed. From that moment I decided that I wanted to play the guitar. I started with a classical guitar and classical guitar lessons and after that while I started my first band.
What kind of music do you like and who is your favorite music bands/artists?
Beside Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler I like the music of The Rolling Stones, Queen, Joe Bonamassa, John Mayer. I “fall down” on music which has good guitar solo and riffs in the background.
About Dire Straits, when was the first time when you listened to song from them, which song was that and when was the first cover version that you made from Dire Straits?
My very first cover was “Walk of Life” when I was playing in an all round cover/party band. It seemed to me an easy song for play, but if you want to play that song with the right groove and guitar riff, it’s not that easy as it looks like. With the same band we covered “Sultans of Swing”.
Which are your favorite classic songs from Dire Straits?
My favorite song is “Telegraph Road”, that one is awesome! It’s a real classic. Everything in that song is great: composition, lyrics, piano, guitar… everything!
