Yesterday on 30 March 2017 Eric Clapton celebrated his 72nd birthday. In the past years he has had an excellent career. Eric has released in 2016 his last solo studio album “I Still Do”.
That album has songs written from Bob Dylan, J.J. Cale and many others brilliant musicians and guitarists. Eric with his own style made this album to be another fantastic piece of art. Yesterday he celebrated his 72nd birthday.
During the years Eric had a bunch of concerts all around in the world. He made massive concerts with others stars and musicians. With Dire Straits in 1988 Eric played at Wembley for Nelson Mandela’s 70th birthday Tribute. Also in Montserrat with Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler, Sting and Phil Collins, Eric made one of the best ever concerts in the world.
Clapton has many, many prizes and awards. He scored his biggest hit in 1992 with “Tears in Heaven”, a tearful ballad about the death of his son Connor, who fell out of an apartament window. That song peaked at No.2 during the spring of 1992. Clapton’s touching falsetto voice, the lush guitar rifts, and the beautiful lyrics make this the best song released in 1992.
But, unfortunately these days he had to cancel two of his gigs and concert in Los Angeles, because of his problems with ‘severe bronchitis’. He was seen in LAX on wheelchair with his daughter and he was almost unrecognisable as he entered the terminal with a baseball cap. Earlier this month he held a pair of concerts at Madison Square Garden.
We just want to say Happy Birthday to Eric Clapton, wish him many more years of good health and we want to see more albums from this Legend.
