In the video below you can see how Lauri Värtinen played ‘Money for Nothing’ by Dire Straits on his electric guitar.

This is one of the greatest songs by Dire Straits and Lauri Värtinen who is a guitarist from Finland made an awesome guitar cover. He published his video on May 6, 2019, on his YouTube channel. For our blog he said:

“I’m 27 years old guitar player from Finland. Guitar playing is my hobby. I’ve been playing guitar for 12 or 13 years until now. Mark Knopfler is my main influence. The first song I tried to learn was ‘Sultans of Swing’, but that was wasting of time then. Now, I can almost play it note by note,” he said.

“My other favorite guitarists are Gary Moore and Eric Clapton. I started making videos about 2 years ago. It is a great way to improve your playing. I have never had any guitar teacher I need one though. I’m left-handed and using pick feels a bit awkward to me. I think that is the reason why I try to learn to fingerpick,” he added.

“I’m going to see Mark Knopfler in Stockholm on the 11th of June. I can’t wait!” he finished.
