After we shared his first ‘Solo of the Day’ of the song ‘Sultans of Swing’ at our blog on March 2nd, 2021, Talisson Ferreira is back again with another solo. This time that is a solo of the song ‘Money for Nothing’ by Dire Straits.
His first blog post on our website made a “boom” in Brazil. Namely, Talisson is living in the city of Sumaré in Brazil. The newspaper called Tribuna Liberal on March 7th, 2021, announced that Talisson had an interview for our blog.
Dire Straits Blog is extremely glad that the newspaper Tribuna Liberal published our collaboration with Talisson. That publication in the newspaper in Brazil helps us to expand our ‘Dire Straits Community’ around the world.
We would like to use this opportunity to thank Tribuna Liberal Newspaper and Talisson for the collaboration with us.
By the way, Talisson Ferreira is a musician who teaches guitar at the Sound Moves school in Sumaré. Because of the Covid situation, today he has other sources of income, but when the pandemic will be over he will definitely be back to the music and keep chasing his dreams.
For his solo cover of the song ‘Money for Nothing’ he said:
“This is my version of ‘Money for Nothing’. This is a song that makes you cheer up, when you’re sad it makes your day happier. I know that Mark Knopfler used his Gibson Les Paul ’59 guitar. But, since I didn’t have one in my hands, I decided to do it with my old Fender Stratocaster. The version is simple, but for me, this is my second favorite song by Dire Straits,” he finished.
If you are from Brazil or you speak Portuguese, down below you can download a free PDF format of the Tribuna Liberal newspaper where there is the publication about Talisson.
