On Easter Sunday 2020, the world lost a legend when Sir Stirling Moss passed away at the age of 90. Moss was widely regarded as one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time, even though he did not win the World Championship.

And yesterday at SpeedWeek presented by Mastercard, we have felt his loss vividly, for it was with Goodwood that his career was entwined. From his first single-seater race in 1948 – which he won – to the career-ending crash on Easter Monday in 1962.

The Duke of Richmond officially renaming the Kinrara Trophy the Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy following a moving tribute yesterday.

Yesterday – October 17th, 2020, the legendary guitarist Mark Knopfler alongside Guy Fletcher had the tribute performance for Sir Stirling Moss. They both have played the song “Going Home,” from his 1983 album ‘Local Hero.’

Heads bowed, the small crowd at SpeedWeek watched and remembered, the great, late Sir Stirling Moss. Down below is the full 8-minutes video of Mark’s performance. Watch and enjoy it!
