Robert Franklin Ramsey mostly known just as Bo Ramsey is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and recording producer from the USA.
Back in 1973, Ramsey started his career. He worked on many musical projects with well-known musicians and has been inducted into the Iowa Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame and Iowa Blues Hall of Fame. Ramsey is also Grammy Award-Winning Guitar Player.
Bo Ramsey’s latest musical offering in the form of a lush and experimental extended-play (EP) was released in March 2022. His new EP called “How Many Miles” include five new tracks.
Weaving together haunting instrumentals with moving new versions of a handful of Ramsey’s best-loved songs, “How Many Miles” features stirring performances from an impressive list of musicians including:
- Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits)
- JT Bates (Big Red Machine, Bonny Light Horseman, Taylor Swift) and the late Billy Conway (Morphine).
Recorded in Minneapolis and mixed by esteemed engineer and producer, BJ Burton, “How Many Miles” is concise – but expansive, as Ramsey’s songs and sounds hover masterfully between dark and light reminding us that less really can be more and that the more you listen the more you hear.
