The exciting news is coming from Mark Knopfler’s official website, and this time is about the Local Hero.
Later this year the stage adaptation of Local Hero will be performed at a Chichester Festival Theatre (CFT), running from 8th October to 19th November 2022, as part of this year’s Festival Season.
In the statement on Mark Knopfler’s official website, it is written that Mark will not be appearing personally at any performance. The production will be staged in the 300-seat Minerva Theatre.
All the fans can join one of the two Local Hero Fan Nights, which are announced for Thursday 27th October and Friday 4th November 2022.
The event will be very popular so the availability of tickets will be extremely limited. The good thing is that the tickets are now in the general sale. You can find different tickets priced from £21 to £47. Also, any unclaimed tickets for the two fan nights are also released for sale.
This new musical version of Local Hero features new music and lyrics by Mark Knopfler. It’s directed by Daniel Evans, whose previous Chichester productions include South Pacific, Quiz, and Fiddler on the Roof. He also directs Our Generation during Festival 2022.
