Next year, with a special show in London, UK, Eric Clapton, and the friends will play a tribute show to Ginger Baker. Namely, Clapton, these days announced plans for a Ginger Baker tribute show. The legendary Cream drummer died on October 6, at the age of 80.
On the official website of Eric Clapton, it was writing that Eric Clapton and Friends will make a one-time-only concert to celebrate the musical life of his dear friend. They will take a place on Monday, February 17, 2020, at the Eventim Apollo Hammersmith in London, UK.
The setlist for the concert will look to honour Baker’s lifetime in music and will, of course, include Clapton and Baker’s work together in Cream and Blind Faith.
Baker, who suffered ill health in his later years, was admitted to hospital in September with his family saying at the time that he was in a critical condition. Unfortunately, he died on October 6, 2019.
The event will be held in aid of Leonard Cheshire, a charity close to the Baker family. Tickets for the event you can find it here.
