Pedro Jacome - Pedrinho

Pedro Jacome is a 35-years-old professional musician from Belo Horizonte in Brazil. He is better known by his stage and artist name Pedrinho. Today, we would like to share with all our fans two videos by him.

The first video is a ukulele performance of the song by Dire Straits “Sultans of Swing,” and the second video is a very beautiful Brazilian song by Pedrinho, which he made it for his daughter Julia. Our team made an interview with Pedro, so you can read the full article below, during you are listening to the songs.

Are you a professional musician and do you have a music career?

“Yes, I’m a professional musician and also my work includes making soundtracks for videos and some commercials. Last year, I started my YouTube channel where I share my cover videos and I post my original music. The first original song I released was the song “Julia,” which I wrote for my daughter.”

Tell us your story about how did you find out about Dire Straits, and when was the first time when you heard the song by them?

“When I was 14-years-old, a friend of mine came up to my house with a Dire Straits CD, and he said that if I played the fast solo of the song “Sultans of Swing” he would give me that CD. I learned by myself how to ply it, and in the next days, he gave me the CD. I heard that CD a thousand times and I loved the playing style of Mark Knopfler. So, last year I decided to make a tribute, and I recorded my first ukulele version of “Sultans of Swing.” That is also my favorite classic song by Dire Straits, of course, I like “Tunnel of Love,” and “Money for Nothing.”

What kind of music do you like to listen to, and who are your favorite music bands and artists?

“I like to listen to more rock, folk, and reggae. I also love Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, and Sublime. My favorite guitar players are Mark Knopfler and David Gilmour. They really inspire me!”

What is your motto in life, and what is that which motivates you to continue with a good vibe and positive energy in life?

“I love to spend most of my time in my home studio during I’m making music. Every day, I receive a lot of messages from the people who are enjoying my music, so, that makes me very happy!”
