Our dear and loyal fan Jake Thistle is back again this time with his newest cover. Namely, Jake has made one amazing 14-minute version of the song “Tunnel of Love” by Dire Straits.
We support his work since his beginning days. The first blog-post that we have shared about him was in 2017. Today he is a 16-years-old multi-instrumentalist. Jake has been entertaining audiences of all sizes with guitar-driven classics and originals for years.
He has been hired to perform in Europe and across the US, including a special private performance at New York’s famed Radio City Music Hall.
It’s a real pleasure to support the work of someone like Jake, especially a young musician and to look at how he is growing up and becoming a really good music figure in the world of music.
Along the way, Jake has personally raised over $75,000 for a variety of charitable organizations through an extensive range of fundraising performances. Currently, he is working on an EP with a major studio.
On June 21st, 2020, Jake has shared his newest cover version for the song “Tunnel of Love.”
“I thought I’d share this with you…I’ve been listening to a lot of Dire Straits and that got my dad into listening. So, now he’s on a big Dire Straits kick ha-ha. For Father’s Day, he asked me to try “Tunnel of Love,” and I was happy to give it a shot and try to make it my own in some way. So, since I had it for him, I thought I’d share it with you,” this he wrote us via email.
So, on this occasion, we want to thank Jake for sending us this amazing cover version. We hope that everyone will be satisfied because this is an amazing 14-minute video.
He also has shared this video on his Facebook fan page and wrote:
“Hope everyone had a Happy Father’s Day! We had a great one, and I thought I’d end it with this special request from my dad. I’m pretty sure he just wanted me to tackle a big solo at the end, so I gave him a lot of it! Really cool song, though. The classic ‘Tunnel of Love’ (but probably not the one many people on my page expect). Some awesome Dire Straits, hope you guys like it!”
