Our well-known friend, musician, great guitarist, and lover of Dire Strait’s music – Wes Leurs has a surprise once again for us. Namely, he wants to share with all Dire Straits fans around the world his new 2022 live cover version of the song ‘Sultans of Swing’.

As you already know, Wes Leurs is a musician from the Netherlands. He is a young musician who started his career on his own, as a solo artist. In the beginning, he made just classic cover videos from his house room.

Today, he has his music band called Stone Edge. This time, Wes and his bandmates share with us the song “Sultans of Swing”.

The legendary song that managed to soar the British band to the top in the late seventies. The song left a mark on all people who adore rock music and Dire Straits. Wes Leurs for all Dire Straits Blog fans and readers shared the following:

My band Stone Edge just posted our new cover version of the song ‘Sultans of Swing’. This is a live version that is uploaded on YouTube for all Dire Straits fans around the world. I hope that you’ll all like our 7-minutes version,” Wes has said.

This amazing 7-minute cover version of the song “Sultans of Swing” was recorded in the city of Nijmegen, in the Netherlands. The filming location is called ‘De Kaaij’ which is located near the river Waal and the arch bridge Waalbrug.

For the needs of this version to look phenomenal and above all professionally, the other members also take care. Namely, there were: Romaan Studio for the camera, editing and final mix by Nils Meijs, and live mix by Robbie Van Reen.
