In this blog-post, we would like to share why 2019 was a very important year for the career of Mark Knopfler. He has made many collaborations across the UK and Europe.
2019 has been a record-breaking year for Mark Knopfler. This year he made his first stage musical collaboration, with Bill Forsyth, based on the iconic Scottish film ‘Local Hero’, debuted in Edinburgh – the capital of Scotland.
Also, Mark made his first-ever drink collaboration on Local Heroes No.3 Gin with the Portobello Road distillery.
His biggest tour for more than 25 years, was sold out with 86 shows across UK, Europe, and North America. Knopfler’s most recent solo album, ‘Down The Road Wherever’, celebrated its first birthday in November this year.
Looking ahead to 2020, Mark continues to work on many other projects, including the upcoming London production of ‘Local Hero’ at the Old Vic.
