This year Mark Knopfler has supported the 40th Great North Run which went virtual this weekend, September 13th. Runners traditionally set off to Mark’s “Going Home” song, and he has recorded a new version especially for the occasion which participants will hear in the viRACE app.
The run was broadcasted on BBC 1 TV and there was a feature performance by Mark Knopfler. Mark was also very proud of supporting the virtual Great North Run.
On his official Facebook page, he has written: “Good luck to everyone taking part wherever you are in the UK or around the world. Run well, be strong – you can do this.”
