Heidi Talbot is born in 1980 and she is an Irish folk singer from Kill, County Kildare, Ireland. She’s also a former singer of the Irish-American musical group Cherish the Ladies. Now, Heidi is living in Edinburgh in Scotland.
Besides her musical career, as she writes on her Instagram, she is a mama, she loves trees and she is a seasonal yoga teacher. Heidi’s new album called Sing It For A Lifetime is the first solo release for her in almost six years.
On March 11th, Heidi has released her first single “Empty Promise Land”. You can listen to it down below.
“Empty Promise Land” is an emotional duet with Appalachian fiddle player Dirk Powell, written by him many years ago. The album is also featuring the legendary Dire Straits guitarist Mark Knopfler whose guitar sings like a dobro.
“This is an emotional and exciting day for me. I’m so happy to share this and I hope you’ll enjoy the music,” she said on Twitter for her new album.
Heidi has also announced her upcoming tour this March and April. For all the fans that would like to listen to her music live, they’ll have a chance to do that in some of the cities around the United Kingdom. For more information, you can visit her official website – here.
