The Old Vic Theatre Postponed ‘Local Hero’ Show

In a full statement, yesterday was postponed a few shows including ‘Local Hero’ in The Old Vic Theatre. In line with government advice on COVID-19 (Coronavirus), The Old Vic is temporarily closed.

The administration of the theatre as well as the director Matthew Warchus yesterday has published that they took the decision to postponed the following productions: 400 Miles, Local Hero, and Phil Wang.

“On behalf of all at The Old Vic, I’d like to convey our great sadness at being forced to postpone this summer’s production of the uplifting new musical Local Hero. This beautiful, heartwarming, and politically resonant adaptation of the hit film was a huge success with critics and audiences following its world premiere with our partners The Royal Lyceum in Edinburgh last year. The brilliant creative team and wonderful cast were all about to dive into rehearsals in the next few weeks. We very much hope you will get to see this production before too long,” this was written in the statement of The Old Vic theatre.

Ticket holders will have received an e-mail directly from The Old Vic and will be notified when the run is rescheduled. For more details, you can click here.
