It’s really hard to choose the right song for one list like that, but some of the songs are really special and have much greater impact and meaning than the rests, which we can even consider them for revolutionary.
“Bohemian Rhapsody” (1975)
According to many people, Freddie Mercury is the best vocal of all time, so it’s no wonder that his song is at the top of this list. This melody is simply ingenious in many ways, with which so many generations have grown up. With this song, Freddie in some of the verses openly talks about his sexuality.
“Imagine” (1971)
For you, it’s enough to just read the lyric of this legendary song by John Lennon, to realize that it’s a revolutionary melody that “dreams” of a better and more beautiful time. The rebellious spirit searching for a better tomorrow and the strong emotions are features that probably can’t describe enough the beauty, power and meaning of this song.
“Hotel California” (1977)

On one list like this one, you can’t leave the unique The Beatles. We can say that all of their songs are simply best at the same time. “Hey Jude” is from 1968 and is one unrepeatable classic hit. This song is one of the most popular songs which the legends from the Liverpool had in their “pocket”.
“Sultans of Swing” (1978)
Mark Knopfler with his completely different style has brought us the “other side” of the music. His special style of playing guitar and timeless classic hits are unique and unrepeatable for one time of music history. Dire Straits were and still are one of the greatest band in the world. Many facts have already proved that. Massive stadium concerts and shows around the world, a millions of sold CD’s and vinyls and many more facts made this band to be at the top of the list. And yes, the “Sultans of Swing” is No.1 from all their hits, because has something special. Maybe that is the magic from the hands of Knopfler.
