“This has already been an absolute blast of a project. My partner Adam Mendel and I have been dividing the workload well, and moving very efficiently.”
“Every piece of these custom builds is being fabricated either in my shop or in Adam’s, from raw stock. Several people have helped to get us set up with all the materials we need. Our long-time friend and fellow luthier, Greg Davidge of Davidge Guitars in Sisters, deserves a huge thank you.”
“Nearly every set of old Honduran mahogany was cut from boards supplied by Greg. As were the blocks supplied for the mahogany necks.”
“As much tunnel redwood as we already have, our great friend Rod Lacoste supplied us with a stack of fantastic tunnel 13 and 14 to supplement the rather large number of tops required for such a project.”
“And when it comes to Brazilian Rosewood, our pal Mike Decker out of New York contributed a huge chunk of the matched sets of fingerboards, bridges, and peghead overlays.”
They also wrote that more posts, pics, and videos are coming. For now, don’t miss out on reserving your order this Thursday the 18th of May.
