Andy Crowley is a guitar teacher on YouTube and he gives amazing tips and tricks on how you can improve your guitars skills, no matter if you are playing on acoustic or electric guitar.
Andy have a new guitar lesson for all his fans and of course fans of Dire Straits. Namely, he published his new video lesson where he played ‘Sultans of Swing’ by Dire Straits on his Fender Stratocaster guitar.
“Now I have my own Fender Stratocaster though I’m very pleased with it sounding really great and this is one of the most classic Stratocaster tunes absolutely,” he said.
Andy will give you advice and will show you the easiest way how to play this classic hit on your electric guitar. In the video below, he is focused on all rhythm sections, all the chords, all the strumming and a couple of the little lead fills.
“However, you can play this song on acoustic guitar, but the barre chords are 10 times harder on acoustic guitar than they are on electric guitar. And for those of you that only have an acoustic guitar, I highly recommend go to a friend’s house that has an electric guitar and try them out. Because it’s so much easier and it can be a real stepping stone to suddenly have the freedom of an electric guitar and the and ease of playing that it offers when compared to some things, not everything but some things on the acoustic guitar,” he added.
Andy is a very positive guitarist and he has more than 100 million video views on his channel. Besides that, you can click here and check out his electric guitar video lesson for the song ‘Money for Nothing’ by Dire Straits.
