Today we have interesting video lesson, actually lesson for Mark Knopfler’s solo technique from one song from his first album with Dire Straits from 1978. The song is “In The Gallery” and today’s teacher for you is young guy from Indianapolis, IN – Josh Turner.

Josh has 24 years and his “journey” with playing on guitars started long time ago in January 2006, when he was at the age of 13, and when his PlayStation 2 was confiscated. For a few years he took some guitar lessons in his High School and Kevin Pugh was the guy who helped him a lot in Charlotte, NC.

Josh graduated in May 2015 from Butler University with a B.A. in Music. On the other side he study classical guitar under Brett Terrell, and in his spare time he create solo lessons at his YouTube Channel for his fans.

His music influences are many guitarists and musicians like: Leo Kottke, John Fahey, Davy Graham, Nick Drake. Josh likes to discover many new musical styles on diverse acoustic instruments and currently he performing solo and with Coyote Armanda and other bands as much he can.

Usually Josh’s genres of listening and playing guitar are Folk, Jazz, Bluegrass, Classic Rock, Celtic, Indie and Classical music.
