During these strange and hard times, Adrian Chalifour made an interesting cover version from the song “So Far Away” by Dire Straits.
Adrian Chalifour is a Canadian musician and he is mostly known by creating and sharing his distinct brand of hear-driven music for over a decade. In October 2019, he released his solo album called Joy.
For his album, Adrian has received many praises and good reviews from the fans and many Canadian artists.
Adrian has a very specific and melodic voice, which makes him one great musician alongside giving colorful music and videos. He published his cover version for “So Far Away,” on May 4th, 2020.
All the parts from the video were performed and recorded at his home including the vocals recordings (live) for the video. He has used Fender Thinline Telecaster guitar which is Japanese made. For the vocal, he used a vocal microphone Shure Sm7b. The video is shot with iPhone XR and is edited in Final Cut Pro X.
For his quarantine cover version on Instagram, he has written: “Sometimes you stay up until 4 am recreating a Dire Straits classic. Then you post it before you have a chance to second-guess the whole thing (smile). I hope it puts a smile on your face. Can’t wait to hug and high five you all again soon.”
Besides the “So Far Away” cover version by Adrian, we would like to present to you another cover by him. Namely, back in 2019, he has made an acoustic cover from one of the greatest love ballads and classic hits by Ben E. King, “Stand by Me.”
Adrian performed this short version of “Stand by Me,” and he dedicated to his partner Jenni and their daughter Violet. Enjoy!
