One of the biggest classic songs by Pink Floyd of all time is definitely – “Another Brick in The Wall”. In the video below which is in the performance of Joshua Lee Turner, you will have a chance to listen to how it sounds this classic song on the mandolin.
Namely, he began with making YouTube videos in back in 2007, ranging from popular to esoteric, local to far-flung, and playful to serious, Josh’s videos offer a little something for everyone.
He also made interesting cover versions from some of the songs by Dire Straits, as well as showing the solo technique of Mark Knopfler. You can also check his video where he presented the Knopfler technique – click here.
The video below is Josh’s newest cover where he performs “Another Brick in The Wall, Pt.2” by Pink Floyd, on his mandolin.
As he wrote on the video description, the equipment/techniques that he has used are Eastman MD 505 Mandolin through an XY pair of SE Voodoo VR2 microphones into an ART Pro MPA II preamp. Waves J37 tape delay and PuigChild 670 compressor. The vocal is a Vanguard V13 into a Warm Audio WA73-EQ.
The camera is a Canon EOS R with a35mm f/1.8 lens on a DJI Ronin-sc, with a very cheap LED light. The video is filmed on a Canon EOS 200D with a 24mm f/2.8.
