The lead singer and guitarist from the band “BOOM, Like That,” Edgar Janssen is back again with a solo video. After he shared his cover video for the song “Sultans of Swing,” Edgar last month has made an absolutely phenomenal solo video.
For those who didn’t know, Edgar has made a lot of video covers from the songs by Mark Knopfler and DS. His list of cover videos includes: “Sailing to Philadelphia,” “The Bug,” Telegraph Road,” and many more.
During the Covid-19 quarantine, Edgar worked in his home studio and made most of his cover videos. If you want to hear some of his cover videos, please click here.
For our “Solo of The Day” section here on DSB, we would like today to present you Edgar’s latest video and solo from the song “Telegraph Road” by Dire Straits. Edgar has made this solo at his home studio using the Fender Stratocaster 1996 electric guitar. Also, he used Roland Go Mixer Pro and an iPhone XR for recording the video.
The video is unique because Edgar used the Kemper profiling technique which allows the creation of a very precise sonic image (profile) of an existing amplifier configuration (including speaker and microphone pickup).
The final solo of the song “Telegraph Road” in this video sounds really unique, solid, and very Rock N’ Roll. Below you can listen to the full 4-minutes absolutely phenomenal solo by Edgar for all Dire Straits fans. Enjoy and give us a comment if you like it!
