Two Hands Tapping – Technique

Born in 1977 in Bento Gonçalves, Brazil – Joel Rodriguez became interested in music at the age of 11 when he joined his first course for guitar and music. Over the years he had several music teachers, including Marcos de Rosh and Julio Herrlein with whom he had an amazing guitar and music lessons and learn how to improvise with that amazing instrument.

During the years he practices on his guitar, till in one moment when he saw the technique of Stanley Jordan, the popular Two – Hands – Tapping. But what are Two hands tapping? It is a special technique in which the way of playing the guitar is the same as playing piano, with both hands.

For this technique, Joel designed and built a special guitar intended just for playing Two hands tapping. After many years of working with this technique, Joel produced his own DVD, along with drummer Kiko Freitas, and show people how to play guitar with two hands.
