Kunal Subba

In this blog post, we would like to present you with an acoustic guitar cover version of “Sultans of Swing” by Kunal Subba.

Namely, Kunal Subba is from Mirik – a small town and municipality of Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal, India. His video shared on November 21, 2019, reached to us quite by accident via YouTube.

We saw the video and we decided to share it with all our fans. His video cover is long four and a half minutes and is absolutely perfect. In the video below, you will have a chance to see his fingerstyle acoustic guitar skills and technique.

Kunal really knows the lyric of the song. Also, on his YouTube channel, there are six video covers. From there we can see that he is a real fan of Tommy Emmanuel’s technique of playing guitar and Dire Straits.

One of those videos is a cover version of Tommy Emmanuel’s song “Angelina”, and in the other one, Kunal played a fingerstyle solo by Mason Williams and Tommy Emmanuel.

We are really impressed by his skills and we hope that he will make another video from some of the songs by Dire Straits or Mark Knopfler. Enjoy!
