Mark Knopfler is best known as the lead guitarist, vocalist and songwriter for Dire Straits. Best known from songs like “Sultans of Swing”, “Brothers In Arms” and “Walk of Life” (there are so many others, but probably the person who is reading this post knows that).
Since Dire Straits disbanded in 1995, Mark Knopfler has recorded and produced eight solo studio albums, including composed and produced scores for films Local Hero (1983), Cal (1984), The Princess Bride (1987) and Wag the Dog (1997).
