Eric Clapton is maybe the greatest guitarist in the world, of course in the team of Jimi Hendrix and Mark Knopfler. Before two days Mark just celebrate his 68th birthday in life, while Eric Clapton is a couple years older than him.

One day, we will must to say goodbye to these great musicians and legends, no matter how sad it sounds, it will be. Eric Clapton have 72 age and he is already in the sunset of his career.

However, we will remember them by the good things that they made, their music. The good thing is that every day we received something new from them. Mark Knopfler started to made new solo album, then, another tour from John Illsley and after that here is news from Eric Clapton.

Eric also have a fans from Dire Straits, and because of that we want to inform all our fans that we will have a new documentary movie about Eric Clapton in 2018.

Retrospective

‘Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars’ – The film is directed by Lili Fini Zanuck. Scooter Weintraub, Larry Yelen and Passion Pictures’ John Battsek are amongst the producers. Chris King serves as editor.

World premiere for this documentary will be at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival in September and the premiere will be on Showtime in 2018.

This documentary will feature interviews with Eric Clapton’s family, friends, musical collaborators including late musicians like B.B. King, George Harrison and Jimi Hendrix.

‘Life in 12 Bars’ will be amazing documentary about one of the greatest artists in the world – an 18 time Grammy Award winner and the only artist ever inducted three times into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame.

Also this documentary will have chronicles remarkable career of Clapton from his time as a British rock journeyman in the Yardbirds and John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers to his stints in Cream and Blind Faith as well as his lengthy solo career.

‘Life in 12 Bars’ will also explore how music has served as a slave for Clapton, in the period of his life when he had the most ‘down’ moments including his traumatic childhood, his struggles with alcohol and drug addiction, and the death of his son Conor.

Photos, clips and footage from the stage’s around the world, iconic photos and concert posters, handwritten letters, drawings and many other personal entries from the Clapton’s personal archive we will see in this documentary.

The 42nd annual Toronto International Film Festival is scheduled to be held from 7 to 17 September 2017.

Interesting thing is that Eric Clapton will play two nights in New York, NY on 7th and 8th September at Madison Square Garden and on 15th and 16th September on The Forum in Inglewood, CA.
