Namely, we’ve been writing about this band many times until now. But for all fans, we would like to remember something interesting about DSL. This band includes a few former members of the original Dire Straits band. Among the most famous here are Phil Palmer, Alan Clark, Jack Sonny, and many others.
During this summer, Dire Straits Legacy had a full tour of some Brazilian cities. The tour there ended very successfully. So, band will continue with their tour first in the USA and Canada, and later in Northern Ireland and Ireland. They’ll have concerts in the cities of Belfast and Dublin.
As a reminder to all fans, the mission of this band is for the hits of Dire Straits never fade away. Today, the band brings back the music of DS through concerts featuring musicians who have recorded and toured with Dire Straits for over 30 years.
Here is Alan Clark – the first keyboardist of Dire Straits. Phil Palmer and Danny Cummings both were part of the recorded album On Every Street. Mel Collins was a part of the singles ‘Love Over Gold’ and ‘Twisting By The Pool’. Of course, there is also Jack Sonny who was part of the band, during the international bestseller album Brothers in Arms. All these members have performed with Dire Straits on several global tours.
Other DSL members include bassist Trevor Horn (The Buggles, Yes), one of the world’s greatest record producers, Primiano Di Biase, Europe’s most in-demand and sought-after keyboardist, and last but not least frontman Marco Caviglia who is widely regarded as the world’s leading authority on Mark Knopfler’s unique guitar-playing style.
