The ex-keyboardist of Dire Straits, Alan Clark has announced that he recently released his brand new podcast called “I and I”. Alan is mostly known from Dire Straits, but he also collaborated with some of the biggest stars in the world from Tina Turner to Bob Dylan.
Recently, on his official Instagram profile, he has shared a post with a short video from his new podcast. He shared:
“I am happy to announce the release of my brand new podcast. In this podcast, I invite you to join me as I explore memories from my career to date in the music business and how they’ve influenced my upcoming piano solo album ‘Backstory’”.
You can listen to the podcast online and free on Spotify. In the first episode, Alan focused on his new single ‘Going Home’. He composed and produced the song with Mark Knopfler in 1983 for the Scottish film Local Hero.
Alan has also talked about how and where he and Mark recorded the song, how it became the song for Newcastle United’s Football Club Anthem, and how he unsuccessfully tried to knock it off that particular pedestal.
The first episode of the podcast is released on August 13, 2021, and is in the length of just 8-minutes. Down below you can listen to it and enjoy it!
